Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is located at Loitoktok district, in Kajiado County, mainly inhabited by the ethnic Maasai community of Kenya and about 250 kilometres from Nairobi. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants. It is home to many species, including the African elephant, Cape buffalo, impala, Maasai lion, Tanzanian cheetah, spotted hyena, Maasai giraffe, plains zebra and blue wildebeest among other African animals. There is also a host of Kenyan birds, both large and small. Amboseli national park offers a beautiful vista of the scenic snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro which makes it a perfect site for photography.
